What kind of Internet business do you want to start? The possibilities are endless. Internet Business Society recommends that you pick a product or service you are interested in selling so you will have much more success than selling something less attractive. Also, make sure you pick a product or service that will add value to folks who would want to buy it over the Internet. If you have to pull teeth to get people to buy your product it will burn you out and you may not make as much money.
Consider your competition for the product or service you want to sell. Is the product lifecycle maturing already with flattened profit margins? Consider avoiding oversaturated markets. Is there anything you can do to distinguish your products and services from the market at large? If not, you may find it difficult to make the kind of profit you are looking for. What is your unique selling position? Try to avoid being cheap as a selling position (bad combination of being demotivating and unprofitable.
