Getting Repeat Customers From Ebay

There are many important things to remember when it comes to making money on eBay. It is a great site for making sales and if you get it right, it is also a good way to obtain repeat customers for the life of you business or eBay activity.

There is good money to be made on eBay just by the normal auction process if you are selling a good product with a good listing. But you can make money on eBay, a lot more money on eBay if you can treat your products as marketing tools.

So how do you go about this? The best way and easiest way is to offer a newsletter to anyone who visits your eBay listings. You will also need to be able to turn the ‘lookers’ into customers. You need to get it into your mind that just because the majority of people who see your auction don’t place a bid, does not mean that they are not interested in what you are selling. If they were not interested, then they would not have stopped by at your listing.

By getting the person just to look at your listing means you’ve accomplished step one. After that, you ideally would like them to place a bid but if they don’t, try and persuade them to leave there contact details so you can get in touch with them. There are a few ways you can achieve this.

For an example, if you were to sell home improvement products on eBay and you had a looker at one of your listings for wood treatment, this looker may have a click to see what else you had on auction. If he or she does not see what they are looking for, you would assume that they would then leave your auction listing and you would never hear from them again. But it does not have to be this way!

What you could do is have a little message on all of your listings which invite them to visit your ‘About Me’ page. Once on the ‘About Me’ page, this is where you would tell them that you have a free newsletter with tips and tricks related to home improvement. Maybe with weekly special offers.

Then you would invite them to leave their email address by using the ‘contact me’ form or give them an email address to write too. Or if you have a website, put your web site address on the ‘About Me’ page so they can visit your site.

This is all free, quick and easy to do so you need a good reason not to be doing it.
